Private cremation
Your pet is cremated individually, never with other animals. The remains you bring home are your pet’s alone.
From the moment we bring your pet into our care, we handle them with the same respect we’d want for our own. Our lead crematory operator is certified by the Cremation Association of North America (CANA), and every cremation is carried out with dignity.
When your pet is ready, we’ll call you to arrange their return home. Every cremation comes with a signed cremation certificate.

Common questions
My pet just died at home. What should I do?
Call us at (302) 404-5958. We answer 24 hours a day and will talk you through the next steps.
If you’d like a little time first, that’s okay. Wrap your pet in a favorite blanket or towel and keep them in a cool, quiet room until you’re ready to call.
My vet isn’t on your list. Can I still choose Heavenly Gates?
Yes. Ask your vet’s office to contact us. We’ll collect your pet from them and call you to discuss the details.
How do I know I’m getting my own pet back?
Every cremation we perform is private: your pet is cremated individually, never with other animals. The remains we return to you are your pet’s alone.
How much does cremation cost?
It depends on the memorial package you choose. Call us for current prices, and we’ll explain every option plainly.
Can I visit before making a decision?
Of course. Walk in Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, or call to set up a weekend appointment. You can see urns and keepsakes in person and ask us anything.
Which areas do you serve?
We’re based in Seaford, Delaware, and serve families, veterinarians and rescues throughout Delaware, Maryland, the Eastern Shore of Virginia and the rest of the Delmarva Peninsula.
Can my pet be added to the memorial wall?
Yes. Send us a favorite photo and a few words about your pet, and we’ll add a tribute to our memorial wall. You can ask us here.
